Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. If the message H STAB MOTOR #2/ACT/WRG FAULT is reported by the FCU 1 and FCU 2 replace the pitch trim actuator motor 2.
  2. Swap FCU 2 with FCU 1.

    1. If system checks are good, replace FCU 2. Reset FCUs latched faults and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. If the fault is reported by the FCU 1 measures the impedance between the FCU 1 to the Motor 2. If the fault is reported by the FCU 2 measures the impedance between the FCU 2 to the Motor 2. Make sure the impedance is not less than 60 Ω for a short circuit to ground and not more than 90 Ω for an open circuit.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Perform a wiring checks between the FCUs to the motor 2.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  5. Replace Pitch Trim Actuator Motor.
  6. Do close out.
