Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Using CAIMS, verify if messages related to the 28 VDC emergency bus or DCPC are shown:

    1. If YES, troubleshoot them first and continue with next step.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  2. Using CAIMS, select SYSTEM DIAG - ATA 24 - DCPC A(B) - LRU TEST - LOAD STATUS and verify the Circuit Breaker (CB) status.

    1. If the CB status is IN, continue with next step.
    2. If the CB is OUT/TRIPPED go to Observed fault 245OBS001 - THERMAL CIRCUIT BREAKER TRIPPED and perform troubleshooting.

  3. Check for 28 VDC at DCPC connector A63P3-B.

    1. If 28 VDC is present, continue with next step.
    2. If voltage is not present, go to step 5.

  4. Disconnect the the L ENG SOV connector L38P1 and perform a 28 VDC voltage check as follows:

    From To Expected Result Result
    L38P1-D Ground 28 VDC

NOTE: Make sure the Fire Handle is pushed IN

    1. If voltage is present, replace the L ENG SOV.
    2. If voltage is not present, perform a wiring check between the DCPC and the L ENG SOV and repair defective wiring if required.

  5. Replace the L ENG FUEL SOV circuit breaker (CB-A3).

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Replace the DCPC.
  7. Do close out.
