Fault Description:
L CNTR TRNS PMP PRES SWITCH/WRG FLT shows on the CAIMS PMAT when both Left Center Transfer-Pump Pressure-Switch status are high or low at the same time.
The Pressure Switch contacts and signals to the Fuel Management and Quantity Gauging Computer (FMQGC) have two status. One is normally shorted to ground and the other is open. They have to be complimentary otherwise the FMQGC will consider the Switch failed.

- Fuel Management and Quantity Gauging Computer (FMQGC) (A47)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Go to CENTER TRANSFER TEST page via PMAT to turn on Left Center Transfer Pump.
- Check Pump Status/Active Faults data as table below:
Reference Indication Pump Status LEFT XFER PUMP PRESSURE Not Low (Hi) Active Faults L XFER PRESSURE SWITCH FAIL STATUS Normal - If the pressure is high, go to step 6.
- If pressure is normal, continue with next step.
- Check pressure switch contacts at connector S19P1 as follows:
From To Expected Result Result S19P1-G S19P1-H Closed S19P1-A S19P1-H Open - If the checks are not good, go to step 9.
- If the checks are good, continue with next step.
- Perform wiring check as follows:
From To Expected Result Result S19P1-H GS435 Closed S19P1-A Ground Open S19P1-G A47AP1-K14 Closed - If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Turn off Left Center Transfer Pump.
- Check Pump Status/Active Faults data as table below:
Reference Indication Pump Status LEFT XFER PUMP PRESSURE Low Active Faults L XFER PRESSURE SWITCH FAIL STATUS Normal - If pressure is low, do close out.
- If pressure is normal, continue with next step.
- Check pressure switch contacts at connector S19P1 as follows:
From To Expected Result Result S19P1-A S19P1-H Closed S19P1-G S19P1-H Open - If the checks are not good, go to 9.
- If the checks are good, continue with next step.
- Perform wiring check as follow:
From To Expected Result Result S19P1-H GS435 Closed S19P1-G Ground Open S19P1-A A47AP1-B15 Closed - If wiring checks are good, go to step 10.
- If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- Swap left center transfer pump pressure switch with right center transfer pump pressure.
- If system checks are good, replace left center transfer pump pressure switch and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace FMQGC.
- Do close out.
