Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Use the PMAT to access CAIMS -  SYSTEM DIAG - ATA 28 - FMQGC A (B)-CH A (B) - LRU TEST and select the COCKPIT FUEL PANEL DATA page, make sure the results that follow are met with the XFEED SOV PBA set to open (pushed in):

    Reference Status
    XFEED VALVE OPEN STATE OPEN
XFEED VALVE CLOSED STATE NOT CLOSED

    1. If one of the above status is not met, go to step 3.
    2. If all the above status are met, continue with next step.

  2. Use the PMAT to access CAIMS -  SYSTEM DIAG - ATA 28 - FMQGC A (B)-CH A (B) - LRU TEST and select the COCKPIT FUEL PANEL DATA page, make sure the results that follow are met with the XFEED SOV PBA set to closed (pushed out):

    Reference Status
XFEED VALVE OPEN STATE NOT OPEN
    XFEED VALVE CLOSED STATE CLOSED

    1. If all the above status are met, go to step 15.
    2. If one of the above status is not met, continue with next step.

  3. Perform wiring check between the crossfeed SOV (L34P1) and FMQGC (A47AP1).

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  4. Check for 28 VDC at crossfeed SOV (L34P1).

    1. If voltage is not there, go to step 7.
    2. If voltage is there, continue with next step.

  5. Replace the crossfeed SOV actuator (L34P1).

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Replace the crossfeed SOV (L34P1).

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, go to step 15.

  7. Check for 28 VDC at SPDA 2 (A14P1).

    1. If voltage is not there, go to step 9.
    2. If voltage is there, continue with next step.

  8. Perform a wiring check between SPDA 2 (A14P1) and the crossfeed SOV (L34P1).

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  9. Check for ground at EMS CDU (A91P2) (A94P2).

    1. If ground is there, go to step 14.
    2. If ground is not there, continue with next step.
NOTE: A ground is sent to both EMS CDU when the XFEED SOV PBA is set to open (pushed in).

  10. Perform wiring check between ground stud (GS852) and FUEL control panel (AP5P1).

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  11. Perform wiring check between FUEL control panel (AP5P1), XFEED SOV PBA (SDS3) and EMS CDU (A91P2) (A94P2).

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  12. Replace the XFEED SOV PBA (SDS3).

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  13. Replace the FUEL control panel (AP5).

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, go to step 15.

  14. Swap the SPDA 2 with SPDA 3.

    1. If system checks are good, replace SPDA 2 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  15. Replace FMQGC.
  16. Do close out.
