Schematic Diagram: 29-12-00 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]
Wiring Diagram: 29-00-04 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]

Fault Description:

Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 3 is receiving an input that the Hydraulic Pressure Switch 2B is less than 1800 psi (low) with Hydraulic Pump Switch 2B selected to AUTO or ON.

NOTE: AC Motor Driven Pump (ACMP) pressure switches close at 2400 psi (high) as pressure rises and opens at 1800 psi (low) as pressure decreases.

Possible Causes:

  • AC Power Center (ACPC) Secondary Logic Card (SLC) 2
  • AC Motor Driven Pump (ACMP) 2B (B52)
  • Relay (K17)
  • AC Motor Driven Pump (ACMP) Pressure Switch 2B (S38)
  • Hydraulic System Reservoir Quantity Transducer 2 (MT142)
  • AC Power Center (ACPC) (A54)
  • Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 3 (A30)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Ensure Hydraulic System 2 is properly serviced.
  2. Operate Hydraulic Pump 1B and note Hydraulic System 1 pressure.

    1. If pump does not operate, go to step 4.
    2. If pump operates and pressure in below 2400 psi, replace ACMP 2B and do close out.
    3. If pump operates and pressure is above 2400 psi, continue with nest step.

  3. Swap Hydraulic Pressure Switch 2B and Hydraulic Pressure Switch 1B.

    1. If system checks are good, replace Hydraulic Pressure Switch 2B and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, go to step 9.

  4. Perform voltage check at ACMP 2B and check for 115 VAC at connector B52P1 as follows:

    From To Result
    B52P1-A B52P1-E
    B52P1-B B52P1-E
    B52P1-C B52P1-E

    1. If voltage is not present, go to step 6.
    2. If voltage is present, continue with next step.

  5. Remove enough clamps to swap ACMP 2B connector B52P1 and ACMP 1B connector B51P1.

    1. If system checks are good, replace ACMP 2B and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Swap ACPC SLC AC-2 with SLC AC-3.

    1. If system checks are good, replace ACPC SLC AC-2 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  7. Swap K17 relay with K20 relay in ACPC.

    1. If system checks are good, replace K17 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  8. Perform a wiring check between ACMP 2B, ACPC Relay K17, Hydraulic Pressure Switch 2B and DAU 3.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  9. Swap DAU 3 with DAU 1.

    1. If system checks are good, replace DAU 3 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  10. Accomplish check of EMI filter as shown below:

    1. Remove ACPC Secondary Logic Card 2.
    2. Measure the EMI Filter continuity from connector P210 to aircraft structure as follows:

      From To Result
      P210-22 Ground

      1. If there is continuity, go to step 11.
      2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

    3. Measure for open circuit between SLC 2 connector P210 as follow:

      From To Result
      P210-22 P210-25
      P210-22 P210-28
      P210-22 P210-31

      1. If there is no continuity, repair the defective wiring as required and do close out.
      2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  11. Replace ACPC.
  12. Do close out.
