Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform wiring checks between HBMU 1 and AOA 1 Vane & Case heaters.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  2. Measure the resistance of AOA 1 Vane & Case heaters.
    AOA vane heater= 30 +/-10 ohms
AOA case heater =30 +/-12 ohms

    1. If resistance is within range, go to step 4.
    2. If resistance is out of range, continue with next step.

  3. Replace AOA 1 Heater.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Replace HBMU 1.
  5. Do close out.
