Message Description:
The Right Inboard Brake temperature sensor is detected being either less than 65 ohms (60°C) or greater than 500 ohms (1200°C) by Heater/Brake Temperature Monitor Unit (HBMU) 2.
Possible Causes:
- Right Inboard Brake Temperature Sensor (RT3)
- Heater/Brake Temperature Monitor Unit (HBMU) 2 (A93)
- Associated Wiring
Troubleshooting Tips:
Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin: None
Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None
NOTES:
- Due to the possibility of Brake Temperature Sensor damage on removal/installation, swapping sensors is not recommended.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Perform wiring checks between Right Inboard Brake Temperature sensor and Heater/Brake Temperature Monitor Unit (HBMU) 2 as follows:
From To Result PW22-A A93P2-27 PW22-B A93P2-28 - If wiring defects are found, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If no defects are found, continue with the next step.
- Measure the resistance of right inboard brake temperature sensor (refer to the Brake Temp Sensor Resistance vs Temperature chart).
- If resistance is within range, continue with the next step.
- If resistance is out of range, go to step 4.
- Interchange HBMU 2 with HBMU 1. Does the fault follow the HBMU?
- If YES, replace HBMU 2.
- If NO, continue with the next step.
- Replace Right Inboard Brake Temperature Sensor.
NOTE: Due to the possibility of Brake Temperature Sensor damage on removal/installation, swapping sensors is not recommended. - Do close out.
