Fault Description:
The STBY PITOT STATIC Probe Heater(s) circuit has been detected opened by Heater/Brake Temperature Monitor Unit (HBMU) 2.
Possible Causes:
- Standby Pitot/Static Probe Heater
- Heater/Brake Temperature Monitor Unit (HMBU) 2 (A93)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Perform wiring checks between HBMU 2 and standby pitot static probe heater.
- If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Measure the resistance of pitot standby static probe heater.
STBY PITOT-STATIC head heater should be 20 ohms ±10 ohms at ambient temperature.
STBY PITOT-STATIC probe base heater should be 210 ohms approximately.- If resistance is within range, go to step 4.
- If resistance is out of range, continue with next step.
- Replace standby pitot static probe heater.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace HBMU 2.
- Do close out.
