Fault Description:
The Data Acquisition Unit (DAU 1) senses that the excitation for the Left Elevator Position Transducer on CH A is out of range.
Possible Causes:
- Left Elevator Position Transducer (MT49)
- Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 1 (A17)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Remove the DAU 1 to get access to the connector A17AP1 and left elevator position transducer to get access to the connector MT49P1. Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A17AP1-B7 MT49P1-3 A17AP1-C7 MT49P1-2 - If there is no continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is continuity, continue with next step.
- Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A17AP1-B7 Ground A17AP1-C7 Ground - If there is continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is no continuity, continue with the next step.
- Swap DAU 1 with DAU 3.
- If system checks are good, replace DAU 1 and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace the Left Elevator Position Transducer.
- Do close out.
