WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

This message shows when there is no power supplied to Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LG ECU) channel A.

Possible Causes:

  • Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LG ECU) (A52)
  • Secondary Power Distribution Assembly (SPDA) 3 (A15)
  • Secondary Power Distribution Assembly (SPDA) 4 (A16)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Make sure circuit breakers are IN and Check in the EMS CDU for the following circuit breakers are in Gear CTL A PWR 2 and Gear CTL A PWR 1.

    1. If fault indication is gone, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Disconnect, inspect and reconnect the following connectors A15P1 of the SPDA 3, A16P1 of the SPDA 4 and the connector A52CP1 of the LGECU.

    1. If fault indication is gone, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Re-seat the LGECU.

    1. If fault indication is gone, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Perform wiring checks between the LGECU connector A52CP1, SPDA 3 connector A15P1 and SPDA 4 connector A16P1.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  5. Replace LGECU.
  6. Do close out.
