Fault Description:
Both Temperature Sensors in the Enhanced Vision System (EVS) Fairing has been detected either shorted (< 165 Ω) or opened (> 600 Ω) by the Enhanced Vision System Heater Controller (EVSHC).
Possible Causes:
- Fairing Temperature Sensor 1
- Fairing Temperature Sensor 2
- Fairing (HR30)
- Enhanced Vision System Heater Controller (EVSHC) (A315)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Perform wiring checks between EVSHC and the fairing as follow:
NOTE: Nominal resistance between sensor terminals is 293 ohms ±4 ohms at 20 °C (68 °F). See Fairing Sensor Resistance vs Temperature Chart. From To Result A315P1-A HR30J1-A A315P1-B HR30J1-B (RTN) A315P1-C HR30J1-E A315P1-D HR30J1-D (RTN) - If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Replace fairing.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace EVSHC.
- Do close out.
