RED MESSAGE (CAUTION)
AMBER MESSAGE (ADVISORY)
CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

There is no input power to the Fairing.

Possible Causes:

  • Enhanced Vision System (EVS) Fairing Heat Circuit Breaker Panel (CBP1) (A35)
  • Enhanced Vision System Heater Controller (EVSHC) (A315)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Measure for 115 VAC at EVSHC as follows:

    EVHSC Expected Result Result
    A315P1-y 115 VAC
    A315P1-z 115 VAC
    A315P1-AA 115 VAC

    1. If there is 115 VAC, go to step 4.
    2. If there is no 115 VAC, continue with next step.

  2. Perform wiring checks between EVSHC and CCBP1 as follow:

    From To Result
    A315P1-y A35J2-K
    A315P1-z A35J2-L
    A315P1-AA A35J2-M
    A315P1-JJ A35J2-GS1410

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. Replace circuit breaker EVS FAIRING HEAT.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Replace EVSHC.
  5. Do close out.
