Reporting LRU: Bleed Management Controller (BMC) 2
System Description: 36-11-00
Schematic Diagram: 36-11-00 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]
Wiring Diagram: 36-11-02 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]

Fault Description:

The Bleed Management Controller (BMC) 2 senses that the opposite bleed pressure is higher by 10 Pound per Square Inch (gage) (PSIG) when the Cross-Bleed Valve is fully open and the Left Bleed-Pressure Regulating-and-Shutoff Valve is closed. Inhibited during Take-off and Landing.

Possible Causes:

  • Bleed Management Controller (BMC) 2 (A70)
  • Right Bleed Pressure Transducer (BPT) (MT112)
  • Right Bleed Air Duct
  • Junction Box (JB4)/PCB2
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Inspect RIGHT bleed ducts for duct integrity and signs of rupture.

    1. If faults are found, adjust the couplings, remove and reinstall or replace the faulty components as required.
    2. If there are no faults, continue with next step.

  2. Perform the leak test of bleed air system.

    1. If system checks are good, then go to step 6.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Swap Right Bleed pressure transducer (BPT) with Left Bleed pressure transducer (BPT) and inspect BPT sense line.

    1. If system checks are good, replace right BPT and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Swap Bleed Management Computer (BMC) 2 with Bleed Management Computer (BMC) 1.

    1. If system checks are good, replace BMC 2 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Perform wiring checks between BPT to JB4/PCB2.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  6. Perform wiring checks between BPT to BMC 2.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  7. Perform continuity check of JB4/PCB2.

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  8. Replace JB4/PCB2.
  9. Do close out.
