Message Description:
When a Wing Leading-Edge Over-Temperature condition is detected and the condition is not related to the Wing Anti-Ice Valve (WAIV).
Possible Causes:
- Bleed Management Controller (BMC) 2 (A70)
- Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 4 (A31)
- Right Inboard Anti-Icing Temperature Sensor (E41)
- Right Outboard Anti-Icing Temperature Sensor (E40)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Perform wiring checks between Right INBD WAITS, Right OUTBD WAITS, DAU 4 and BMC 2.
- If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Measure resistance of the INBD and OUTBD WAITS sensing elements. Resistance values are listed in the chart as follows:
Temperature (in centigrade) Resistance (in ohms) -60 381.54 -50 401.50 -40 421.32 -30 441.07 -20 460.77 -10 480.42 +0 500.00 10 519.52 20 538.97 30 558.37 40 577.71 50 596.99 60 616.21 70 635.37 80 654.47 90 673.51 100 692.50 110 711.43 120 730.30 130 749.11 140 767.86 150 786.56 160 805.19 170 823.78 180 842.30 190 860.77 200 879.17 210 687.53 220 915.82 230 934.06 240 952.24 250 970.36 260 988.43 - If the resistance values is different from the table above, replace the faulty WAITS sensing elements and do close out.
- If the resistance values are same as the table above, continue with next step.
- Interchange DAU 4 with DAU 2.
- If system checks are good, replace DAU 4 and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace BMC 2.
- Do close out.
