WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The Intermediate Pressure Transducer (IPPT) 2 has been detected faulty by Bleed Management Controller (BMC) 2. Inhibited during Take-Off and Landing.

Possible Causes:

  • Right Intermediate Pressure Transducer (IPPT)
  • Secondary Power Distribution Assembly (SPDA) 3 (A15)
  • Bleed Management Controller (BMC) 2 (A70)
  • Junction Box (JB4)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

Bleed Pressure Transducer is affected:

  1. Swap SPDA 3 with SPDA 2.

    1. If system checks are good, replace SPDA 3 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Perform wiring checks between JB4 and SPDA 3.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. Replace JB4.
  4. Do close out.

Bleed Pressure Transducer is not affected:

  1. Swap IPPT 2 with IPTT 1.

    1. If system checks are good, replace IPPT 2 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Swap BMC 2 with BMC 1.

    1. If system checks are good, replace BMC 2 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Perform wiring checks between JB4 and BMC 2.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  4. Perform wiring checks between IPPT 2 and BMC 2.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  5. Perform wiring checks between IPPT 2 and JB4.

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  6. Replace JB4.
  7. Do close out.
