Reporting LRU: Bleed Management Controller (BMC) 2
System Description: 36-11-00
Schematic Diagram: 36-11-00 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]
Wiring Diagram: 71-50-01 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]

Fault Description:

Bleed Management Controller (BMC) 2 senses that the Secondary Power Distribution Assembly (SPDA) 3 does not supply 28 VDC from its sensors output. Inhibited during Take-Off and Landing.

Possible Causes:

  • Secondary Power Distribution Assembly (SPDA) 3 (A15)
  • Bleed Management Controller (BMC) 2 (A70)
  • Junction Box (JB3)
  • Right Bleed Pressure Transducer (MT112)
  • Right Intermediate Pressure Transducer (IPPT)
  • Right Cowl Anti-Icing Pressure Transducer (CAIPT)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap SPDA 3 with SPDA 2.

    1. If system checks are good, replace SPDA 3 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Perform wiring checks between SPDA 3, JB3, R BPT, R IPPT, R CAIPT and BMC 2.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
NOTE: Remove all interface components for short test.

  3. Swap Right BPT with Left BPT.

    1. If system checks are good, replace Right BPT and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Swap Right IPPT with Left IPPT.

    1. If system checks are good, replace Right IPPT and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Swap BMC 2 with BMC 1.

    1. If system checks are good, replace BMC 2 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Replace cowl anti-ice valve.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  7. Replace JB3.
  8. Do close out.
