Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Check SAV solenoid channel B for power. It should be 28 VDC when SAV is commanded open.
- If there is no 28 VDC, investigate the power source and go to step 3.
- If there is 28 VDC, continue with next step.
- Perform a continuity check for SAV solenoid winding at P1066 as follows:
From To Result P1066-1 P1066-5 - If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is continuity, continue with next step.
- Perform wiring checks between SAV and EEC.
- If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Swap SAV between engines.
- If system checks are good, replace defective SAV and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace Left EEC.
- Do close out.
