Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Check SAV solenoid channel B for power. It should be 28 VDC when SAV is commanded open.

    1. If there is no 28 VDC, investigate the power source and go to step 3.
    2. If there is 28 VDC, continue with next step.

  2. Perform a continuity check for SAV solenoid winding at P1066 as follows:

    From To Result
    P1066-1 P1066-5

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  3. Perform wiring checks between SAV and EEC.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  4. Swap SAV between engines.

    1. If system checks are good, replace defective SAV and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Replace Left EEC.
  6. Do close out.
