Fault Description:
This message shows when the value of Mach Number (MACH) sent by the aircraft is defective. The signal is sent to channel B of the Engine Electronic Controller (EEC) by the Micro Air-Data Computers (MADC) 1 or MADC 2. These circuits are continuously monitored by the Full-Authority Digital Engine-Controller (FADEC).
The message CAIMS - R CH A AIR DATA COMP MACH NO RNG MA could also show. This will be set as a result of MADC to MADC data cross check by air data selection.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Check if the CAIMS fault message R CH B AIR DATA COMP MACH NO RNG MA shows.
- If the CAIMS fault message R CH B AIR DATA COMP MACH NO RNG MA shows, replace MADC 1 and do close out.
- If the CAIMS fault message R CH B AIR DATA COMP MACH NO RNG MA does not show, continue with next step.
- Perform the visual check of the engine controlling system.
- If fault remains, repair as required and do close out.
- If system checks are good, continue with next step.
- Check if the CAIMS fault message R CH B AIR DATA COMP MACH NO RNG MA still shows.
- If the CAIMS fault message R CH B AIR DATA COMP MACH NO RNG MA shows, replace right EEC and do close out.
- If the CAIMS fault message R CH B AIR DATA COMP MACH NO RNG MA does not show, continue with next step.
- Check if the two CAIMS messages that follow shows:
- R CH A AIR DATA COMP MACH NO RNG MA
- R CH B AIR DATA COMP MACH NO RNG MA
- If the two CAIMS messages does not show, do close out.
- If the two CAIMS messages shows, continue with next step.
- Replace MADC 2.
- Do close out.
