  • Certain Electrical Systems Failure modes can prevent CAIMS PMAT from being available due to loss of power to PMAT or supporting systems. In these cases the use of SIGNBOARD accessed through the EMS-CDU's is a possible way to determine the cause of the problem. Once the SIGNBOARD Label and Built-In Test (BIT) for the problem are found, see the cross reference to the CAIMS Fault Code number which is how to access the SmartFixPlus Troubleshooting CAIMS by Fault Code

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Open the B6 EMS CDU Diagnostics guide and follow the instructions to identify the faulty component.
  2. Use the relevant table associated to the identified faulty unit from the list below to interpret the data recorded in the previous step.

  3. On the EMS CDU, select the EMER CNTL key to exit from the diagnostics mode.
  4. Based on the CAIMS fault code retrieved from the tables, perform the appropriate SmartFix Plus troubleshooting by CAIMS procedure.
  5. Do close out.
