Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap the service light switch. Check if the problem is corrected.
NOTE: This makes sure the light switch is not the cause of the problem.

    1. If YES, replace the defective light switch and do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with the next step.

  2. Perform a continuity check between auto-shutoff box and all the light switches ground in ON position as follows:

    From To Result
    A186P1-C Ground
    A189P1-C Ground

    1. If there is continuity, repair or replace the defective wiring as required and continue with the next step.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with the next step.

  3. Disconnect the output wires of the auto-shutoff box connectors (A186J/P1 and A189J/P1) and perform a 28 VDC voltage check at the connectors as follows:

    From To Result
    A186J1-E Ground
    A189J1-E Ground

    1. If there is output voltage from the auto-shutoff box, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is no output voltage, continue with the next step.

  4. Measure the input voltage at the connectors for forward auto-shutoff box (A186) and rear auto-shutoff box (A189) as follows:

    From To Result
    A186P1-A A186P1-B
    A189P1-A A189P1-B

    1. If there is no voltage, repair or replace the defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is input voltage to the box, continue with the next step.

  5. Replace the unserviceable Auto-Shutoff Box.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Perform the troubleshooting for CAS Message "ELEC SYS FAIL" (Amber) and "ELEC SYS FAULT" (Cyan).
  7. Do close out.
