Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

One of the following messages is displayed on the Portable Maintenance-Access Terminal (PMAT):

  • CDB Exception: Could not delete from specified tables
  • CDB Exception: Data has changed; operation stopped
  • Could not open file 'I'
  • Could not open DYNASET to count GetAIlLRU info 1
  • Could not open DYNASET to count LRU info
  • DLL_MGR: ASCB Initialization FAILED!
  • Run-time error '3051': Microsoft jet database engine cannot open the file 'C:\CAIMS\DATABASENAME.0XX'. It is already opened exclusively by other user, or you need permission to view its data
  • CDB Exception Data has changed

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Cancel the error message.
  2. Re-install the LDI database with the most current version on your PMAT. You can find the appropriate files and instructions on the Bombardier Customer Portal website using the following path:

    • Login the Bombardier Customer Portal website
    • Select the SERVICES tab in the left pane
    • Select TECHNICAL TOOLS
    • Select Global Express/Global XRS/G5000 Downloads
    • At the top of the page, select CAIMS LDI Software
    • Select the correct LDI file and follow instructions on page

  3. Start CAIMS and check that it starts normally. Is the fault resolved?

    1. If YES, do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  4. Replace the PMAT.
  5. Do close out.
