CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The Cabin Pressure Controller (CPC) 1 does not receive the ARINC 429 signal from Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 3A.

Possible Causes:

  • Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 3 (A30)
  • Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 3 Channel A
  • Junction Box 3 (JB3)
  • Cabin Pressure Controller (CPC) 1 (A21)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap DAU 3 with DAU 4.

    1. If the system checks are good, replace the DAU 3 and do close out.
    2. If the fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Swap CPC 1 with CPC 2.

    1. If system checks are good, replace the CPC 1 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Perform wiring checks of the wires between CPC 1 and JB3.

    1. If the wiring checks are not good, repair the defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If the wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  4. Perform wiring checks of the wires between JB3 and DAU 3.

    1. If the wiring checks are not good, repair the defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If the wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  5. Perform continuity check of JB3.

    1. If there is continuity, repair the defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  6. Replace JB3.
  7. Do close out.
