Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

During Power-On Built-in Test (PBIT), the Outflow Valve (OFV) 2 does not respond to test command from Cabin Pressure Controller (CPC) 2.

Possible Causes:

  • Outflow Valve 2 (L9)
  • Associated Wiring

NOTES:

  • CPC in control alternate between CPC 1 and CPC 2

    • CPC1 is used for odd days.
    • CPC2 is used for even days.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Initiate an IBIT from CPC2. (CPC1 is used for odd days. CPC2 is used for even days). If test passes with CPC1, Interchange CPC2 and CPC1. If problem follows, replace the defective LRU.
  2. Perform wiring checks of the OFV 2 grounds.

    1. If wiring check is good, continue with next step.
    2. If wiring check is not good, repair defective associated wiring as required and do close out.

  3. Replace OFV#2.
  4. Do close out.
