AMBER MESSAGE (ADVISORY)
CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The Outflow Valve (OFV) 2 does not receive the ARINC 422 signal from Cabin Pressure Controller (CPC) 2.

Possible Causes:

  • Outflow Valve (OFV) 2 (L9)
  • Cabin Pressure Controller (CPC) 2 (A22)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform wiring check of the ARINC 422 (TX) wires going from CPC2 to OFV2.

    1. If wiring check is good, continue with next step.
    2. If wiring check is not good, repair defective associated wiring as required and do close out.

  2. Swap CPC2 with CPC1. Is the fault message still present?

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, replace Cabin Pressure Controller (CPC) 2 and do close out.

  3. Replace OFV2.
  4. Do close out.
