Message Overview:

Fault Message:

DCPC SSPC#3-K9 POWER UP FAILED

Fault Code:

2463005DCP

Associated CAS:

ELEC SYS FAIL
(Caution)

Reporting LRU: DC Power Center (DCPC)
System Description: 24-60-00
Schematic Diagram: 24-61-00 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]
Wiring Diagram: 24-61-01 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]

Fault Description:

When voltage is present on DC Bus 2 while DC Power Center (DCPC) Solid State Power Controller (SSPC) 3 is off and there is voltage on the SSPC 3 output, the Power-up Built-In Test (PBIT) will fail. This will indicate SSPC 3 or D3 short circuit fault.

Possible Causes:

  • Solid State Power Controller 3 (SSPC)
  • DC Power Center (DCPC) Diode (D3)
  • Primary Logic Card (PLC) 1
  • Primary Logic Card (PLC) 2
  • Primary Logic Card (PLC) 3
  • DC Power Center (DCPC) (A63)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Get access to CAIMS active faults. Is message 2460448DCP DCPC DIODE #3 (D3) FAILED posted?

    1. If YES, troubleshoot this message first and continue with next step.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  2. Disconnect SSPC3 (K9) connector P203. Remove all three Primary Logic Cards (PLC 1, PLC 2 and PLC 3) from the DCPC. Perform a continuity check of SSPC 3 Coil status, Coil command, load status and gate status as follows:

    From To Result
    P203-3 Ground
    P203-4 Ground
    P203-6 Ground
    P203-12 Ground

    1. If there is continuity, go to step 6.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  3. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    P203-3 P110A-9
    P203-3 P210A-9
    P203-3 P310A-9
    P203-4 P110B-24
    P203-4 P210B-24
    P203-4 P310B-24
    P203-6 P110A-15
    P203-6 P210A-15
    P203-6 P310A-15
    P203-12 P110B-23
    P203-12 P210B-23
    P203-12 P310B-23

    1. If there is no continuity, go to step 6.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  4. Replace SSPC 3 (K9). Is the fault resolved?

    1. If YES, do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  5. Perform SmartFix Plus task for fault code 2460448DCP.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Replace DCPC.
  7. Do close out.
