  1. On the EMS CDU, select CTRL function and SLAT/FLAP RESET.
NOTE: Wait at least one minute after SFCU reset to allow self-test to run.
  2. Cycle the flaps from IN/0 degrees to OUT/30 degrees.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Swap SFCU 1 with SFCU 2.

    1. If the system checks are good, replace SFCU 1 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Move the SFCL to a different detent.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.
NOTE: Left motor/brake assembly of the Slat PDU for fault received from SFCU 1. Right motor/brake assembly of the Slat PDU for fault received from SFCU 2.

  5. Swap the left and right slat motor brake assembly.

    1. If system checks are good, replace defective slat motor brake assembly and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Perform wiring checks between the identified SFCU rack and Slat PDU Motor.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
