Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- If there are other related active or stored faults, troubleshoot them first.
- On the EMS CDU, set the circuit breakers that follow to OUT for two or three seconds, and then set to IN:
SYSTEM NAME CIRCUIT BREAKER BUS NAME FLT CONTROLS SLAT/FLAP CTLR 1 BATT FLT CONTROLS SLAT/FLAP CTLR 2 DC ESS - If there are other related active or stored faults, troubleshoot them first.
- If there is no active or stored faults, continue with next step.
- Set the selection to a new detent position on the slat/flap control handle and move the system to the new position. Perform this step four times, one after the other.
NOTE: Continuous duty must be limited to four cycles with an ambient temperature of 25 °C (76 °F).- If the fault message does not show, do close out.
- If the fault message show again within four cycles, one after the other, let the system become cool and then continue with next step.
- Swap SFCUs.
- If system checks are good, replace the defective SFCU and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Perform the rigging of the slat/flap control system.
- Set the selection a new detent position on the slat/flap control handle and move the system to the new position.
- If the fault follows swapped SFCU, replace applicable SFCU and do close out.
- If the fault message shows on the same channel set the EMS CDU circuit breakers that follow to OUT for two or three seconds, and then set to IN:
SYSTEM NAME CIRCUIT BREAKER BUS NAME FLT CONTROLS SLAT/FLAP CTLR 1 BATT FLT CONTROLS SLAT/FLAP CTLR 2 DC ESS
- Set the selection to a new detent position on the slat/flap control handle and move the system to the new position. Perform this step four times, one after the other.
NOTE: Continuous duty must be limited to four cycles with an ambient temperature of 25 °C (76 °F).- If the fault message shows within four cycles, perform the fault isolation for CAIMS-SLAT MOTOR/ SFCU/ WRG and do close out.
- If the fault message does not show, continue with next step.
- Set the selection to a new detent position on the slat/flap control handle that moves only the flap system. Move the flap system to the new position. Perform this step four times, one after the other.
NOTE: Continuous duty must be limited to four cycles with an ambient temperature of 25 °C (76 °F). - If the fault message does not show, do close out.
- If the fault message shows within four cycles, continue with next step.
- Perform the fault isolation for CAIMS-FLAP MOTOR/SFCU/WIRING.
- Do close out.
