Fault Message:
THROTTLE FAULT [XDCR MISCOMP]
Fault Code:
27653150SX
Associated CAS:
| Reporting LRU: | Flight Control Unit (FCU) |
| System Description: | 27-60-00 |
| Schematic Diagram: | 27-60-00 [ Global Express ] [ G5000 ] [ Global XRS ] |
| Wiring Diagram: | 27-60-03 [ Global Express ] [ G5000 ] [ Global XRS ] |
Fault Description:
The Flight Control Unit (FCU) does not receive the correct signals from the Throttle Quadrant. The FCUs use the Engine lever position for the ground lift dumping logic. The lever position gives take-off, idle and thrust reversers signals to the logic through the Rotary Variable Differential Transformers (RVDT).
Possible Causes:
- Throttle Quadrant (AP41)
- Flight Control Unit (FCU) 1 (A65)
- Flight Control Unit (FCU) 2 (A66)
- Associated Wiring
Troubleshooting Tips:
Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin: None
Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None
The FCUs use the engine lever position for the ground lift dumping logic. The lever position gives take-off, idle and thrust reversers signals to the logic through the RVDTs.
Each FCU is associated with one set of left and right throttles RVDTs. Left throttle RVDT is received in COM and right in MON.
The Throttle Quadrant position can be monitored in CAIMS:
- SYSTEM DIAG
- 27-00 FLIGHT CONTROLS
- FLIGHT CONTROL UNIT #1(2)
- LRU TEST
- DISPLAY HANDWHEEL / THROTTLE DATA
- Confirm
- Go to page 2/2
NOTE:
Throttles at MAX THRUST:
The LH (RH) ENG THROTTLE LEVER XDCR SET OWN on channel A increase to 39.00 ±1.25 degrees and on channel B increase to 39.00 ±1.57 degrees.
Throttle aft to the MAX REV:
The LH (RH) ENG THROTTLE LEVER XDCR SET OWN on channel A decrease to -22.50 ±1.25 degrees and on channel B decrease to -22.50 ±1.57 degrees.
This fault may sometime be cleared by performing the flight control system reset procedure. If the message comes back more then once within 10 flight legs, troubleshooting is required.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Monitor the left and right throttle positions on CAIMS.
- Compare the left and right throttles between FCU 1 and FCU 2 to identify the fault from the difference between 2 throttle positions.
- Swap FCUs and reset FCUs latched faults.
- If system checks are good, replace defective FCU and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Perform wiring checks between FCU 1 (A65) and FCU 2 (A66) to the Throttle quadrant (AP41).
- If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Replace Throttle Quadrant.
- Do close out.
