WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LG ECU) has detected a failure with the Right Main Landing Gear DOWNLOCK A discrete output going to the Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 1.

Possible Causes:

  • Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 1 (A17)
  • Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LGECU) (A52)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform wiring checks of Right Main Landing Gear DOWNLOCK A discrete output wire between the LGECU connector A52AP1 and the DAU1.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  2. Perform wiring checks between LGECU connector A52AP1 and DAU 1 connector A17BP1 as follow:

    From To Result
    A52AP1-J14 A17BP1-D7

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. Swap DAU 1 with DAU 3.

    1. If system checks are good, replace DAU 1 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Re-seat LGECU.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Replace LGECU.
  6. Do close out.
