WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The Left Bleed Pressure Regulating and Shut-off Valve (PRV) is not at the required position to agree with the Bleed Management Controller (BMC) command. Inhibited during Take-Off and Landing.

Possible Causes:

  • Pressure Regulating Valve (PRV)
  • Secondary Power Distribution Assembly (SPDA) 2 (A14)
  • Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 3 (A30)
  • Bleed Management Controller (BMC) 1 (A69)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap PRVs.

    1. If system checks are good, replace defective PRV and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Perform wiring checks of PRV grounds.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. Perform wiring checks between PRV and BMC 1.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
      NOTE: Remove all interface components for short test.

  4. Perform wiring checks between PRV and SPDA 2.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
      NOTE: Remove all interface components for short test.

  5. Swap SPDA 2 with SPDA 3.

    1. If system checks are good, replace SPDA 2 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Swap DAU 3 with DAU 1.

    1. If system checks are good, replace DAU 3 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  7. Replace BMC 1.
  8. Do close out.
