Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Disconnect L35P1 from the XSBLEED valve.
  2. With A/C power on, select the XBLEED switch to "CLSD".
  3. Using a multimeter, measure for 28 VDC between connectors of Cross Bleed Valve as follows:

    From To Expected Result Result
    L35P1-3 L35P1-6 28 VDC

    1. If there is no 28 VDC, go to step 10.
    2. If there is 28 VDC continue with next step.

  4. Select XBLEED switch to "OPEN" and measure for 28 VDC between connectors of Cross Bleed Valve as follows:

    From To Expected Result Result
    L35P1-4 L35P1-6 28 VDC

    1. If there is no 28 VDC, go to step 10.
    2. If there is 28 VDC, continue with next step.

  5. Select XBLEED switch to "CLSD" and connect a ground to L35P1-5.
  6. In CAIMS, go to "SYSTEM DIAG", Chap. 36, BMC 2, "LRU TEST" and on Discrete & Analog input data page, check position of Cross Bleed Valve.

    1. If NO, go to step 8.
    2. If indicated "FULL CLOSED", continue with next step.

  7. Select XBLEED switch to "OPEN", remove the ground from L35P1-5 and connect to L35P1-1. On Discrete & Analog input data page, check position of Cross Bleed Valve.

    1. If indicated "FULL OPEN", replace defective XBLEED VALVE and do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  8. Swap BMC 2 and BMC 1.

    1. If system checks are good, replace BMC 2 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  9. Perform wiring checks of all wires between BMC 2 and the XBLEED VALVE.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required or replace JB4/PCB3 and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  10. Swap SPDA 3 and SPDA 4.

    1. If system checks are good, replace SPDA 3 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  11. Perform wiring checks of all wires between SPDA3 and the XBLEED VALVE.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and continue with next step.
    2. If wiring checks are good, go to step 13.

  12. Replace JB4/PCB2 or JB4/PCB3.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  13. Verify relay K15P1 for proper operation.
  14. Do close out.
