Message Description:
The Slat/Flap Control Unit (SFCU) does not receive input from the Left Wing Flap-Resolver or the input is not in the permitted range.
Possible Causes:
- Left Flap Resolver (MT67)
- Slat/Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 1 (A124)
- Slat/Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 2 (A95)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- On the EMS CDU, select CTRL function and SLAT/FLAP RESET.
NOTE: Wait at least one minute after SFCU reset to allow self-test to run. - Cycle the flaps from IN/0 degrees to OUT/30 degrees.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Swap SFCU 1 with SFCU 2.
- If system checks are good, replace SFCU 1 and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Move the SFCL to a different detent.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
NOTE: SFCU 1 is the left side (channel 1) controller. SFCU 2 is the right side (channel 2) controller.
- Perform a resistance check from the applicable resolver channel SFCU rack connector through the Flap resolver as follows:
From the SFCU 1, (resolver channel 1):
From To Expected Result Result A124AP1-95 A124AP1-96 140 to 220 ohms (Resolver Primary Coil R2-R1) A124AP1-92 A124AP1-93 13 to 24 ohms (Output Sine Coil ch.1) A124AP1-105 A124AP1-106 13 to 24 ohms (Output Cosine Coil ch.1) From the SFCU 2, (resolver channel 2):
From To Expected Result Result A95AP1-95 A95AP1-96 140 to 220 Ohms (Resolver Primary Coil R2-R1) A95AP1-92 A95AP1-93 13 to 24 Ohms (Output Sine Coil ch.1) A95AP1-105 A95AP1-106 13 to 24 ohms (Output Cosine Coil ch.1) - If resistance is within range, go to step 7.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Perform wiring checks between the applicable SFCU rack connector and the Left Flap resolver connector.
From To Expected Result Result MT67-1 A124AP1-96 Continuity MT67-2 A124AP1-95 Continuity MT67-6 A124AP1-93 Continuity MT67-5 A124AP1-92 Continuity MT67-3 A124AP1-106 Continuity MT67-4 A124AP1-105 Continuity - If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Replace Left wing Flap resolver.
- Do close out.
