Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Did the Spoilers deploy at the time of failure?
- If NO, go to step 6.
- If YES, continue with next step.
- Access and disconnect FCU 2 Connector A66EP1 and Left Inboard GS Proximity Sensor Connector MT123P1. Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result MT123P1-A Ground MT123P1-B Ground MT123P1-A MT123P1-B - If there is continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is no continuity, continue with next step.
- Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result MT123P1-A A66EP1-7K MT123P1-B A66EP1-7J - If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is continuity, continue with next step.
- Swap FCU 2 with FCU 1. Is the fault still present?
- If NO, replace FCU 2 and do close out.
- If YES, continue with next step.
- Replace the Left Inboard GS Proximity Switch Sensor.
- Deploy the ground actuator by using the hydraulic lock override feature. Cycle the ground spoiler surface 3-4 times.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace Left Inboard Ground Spoiler Actuator.
NOTE: The FCU is able to differentiate between a defective selector valve and a defective actuator. - Do close out.
