Fault Description:
There is a problem with the Right Multi Function Spoiler (MFS) 1 Actuator and detected by the Flight Control Unit 1 channel B. The Right MFS 1 failed to deploy.
Possible Causes:
- Right Multi Function Spoiler (MFS) Power Control Unit (PCU) 1 (B47)
- Flight Control Unit (FCU) 1 (A65)
- Associated Wiring

This fault may sometime be cleared by performing the flight control system reset procedure. If the fault clears, swap FCU positions.
Getting access to the right MFS actuator #1 connector, to check for/remove any corrosion may clear the condition on the a/c.
The right MFS#1 data can be found in CAIMS:
- SYSTEM DIAG.
- 27-00 FLIGHT CONTROLS.
- FLIGHT CONTROL UNIT #1.
- LRU TEST.
- DISPLAY SPOILER DATA.
- CONFIRM.
- Go to sheets 1/3.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Disconnect the right MFS 1 connector (B47) to check for corrosion on the pins and sockets.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
NOTE: Use contact cleaner.
- Swap FCU 1 with FCU 2.
- If system checks are good, replace FCU 1. Reset FCUs latched faults and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
NOTE: If the fault follows the FCU, it will posted on the right MFS 3.
- Perform wiring checks between FCU 1 and MFS 1.
- If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Replace Right MFS 1 PCU.
- Do close out.
